The process behind construction

  1. Individual consultations to explore:
      - Personal style and interests and inspirations
      - Likes and dislikes, themes, venue and time of year
      - Figure type and what silhouette is best suited
      - Details, classic lines, frills, embellishments, lace, beading, drapery, ribbons & bows
  2. During consultation rough sketches of design options are made and measurements taken.
  3. Your fabric of choice is purchased on a visit to fabric stores together with your personal designer. Advice is given and budget is taken into consideration.
  4. An individual pattern is hand drafted to exact measurements
  5. A Mock dress is constructed for the first fitting
  6. Unlimited fittings are arranged as required during the whole process
  7. The final dress fit and design is constructed and altered up to a week before the date required. This achieves the perfect fit.
  8. The storyboard of your design is supplied with your dress. (Wedding dresses only)
What we do initially is consult on a one-on-one basis to explore your individual needs. This will cover, Persoanl Style, interests and inspirations, likes and dislikes, themes, Venue, time of year, figure type and what silhouette is best suited. Which details, classic lines, frills, embellishments, lace, beading, drapery, ribbons, bows etc.
 
The determination of your input and needs is considered to be a crucial step for success in customising dress design.
