The Story:
Set against the backdrop of the most relaxing country garden venue, Alastair and Elizabeth’s uber-stylish celebration was a romantically stylised around the most important aspects of the day – the couple, the love they share, and the love they have for their favourite things, roses, 16th century pocket watches, champagne gold, and friends and family.
The couple met briefly in Grade 1 and were reunited as fate had it after university. An international guest list of 110 invitees, strong family values were the main focus of the celebration with an air of intimacy in every detail.
The beautiful ceremony, which incorporated the Rose Ceremony into the vows, was followed by a late afternoon alfresco affair with all of the trims, stunning music, the epic speeches and reception in the most glorious dining area adorned with crystals, mirrors, rose and water filled centre pieces with gold applique runners. The carefully selected menu for the reception was delicious and wholesome, where starters, a soup course, main, dessert and decadent rose Ferrero Rocher wedding cake stole all appetites.
The groom and groomsmen wore sophisticated charcoal suits with gold cravats and waistcoats, bridesmaids adorned in the tiniest pleated rose red fabric, geometric panelled ruched dresses with lace detail, the mother-of-the-bride in a tailored ice-blue number and the bride………
Elizabeth wore Anella heels, crystal diamanté jewellery paired with ivory toned chiffon and lace tiered gown. The tight drapery paired with the swooping square sequin and beaded trim, created a delicate texture. The beaded lace mirrored in the ruched cap sleeves and additional two meter train, created a slight illusion of decorative wrought iron. Her wedding dress was a mere characterisation of her wonderful spirit.
Let’s not forget the smallest, bravest little flower girl, Rebecca. At only 1years old, she pulled off the aisle routine, a shimmer satin Peter Pan collar dress and retaining the golden rose headband.
This was a wedding each and every guest will remember for its relaxed, elegant and stylish execution.
